We’ve stayed at Wickiup every year since 1977 - we remember the old bathhouse! In the old days, Saddlepocket had a wood burning cookstove. This trip went to Cement Ridge - damage from 2017? Tornado really visible. Iron Creek Lake - Tinton - Spearfish Canyon. Had breakfast today at the Sugar Shack on HWY 385 just north of Rte. 44. Cool Place.

We stayed from the 18th through tonight. Sad to be leaving in the morning. Les, Jackie, Starla are amazing hosts!! We’re enjoying a famous So Dak Hills Storm right now. Nothing beats them. Hopefully we’ll make it back next year (side note…they are coming).

Spending an annual “girls” trip in South Dakota was one of the best decisions we’ve made. So many things to do and see. Waterfalls, lakes, streams - God’s beauty did not disappoint us. Loved it all. So many candid pictures to help us remember. Thanks for the great accommodations. Can’t wait to come back.

2nd year here in this cabin - Absolutely love it - We come here with friends - previous page - share a cabin - the river is peaceful - especially with the river by the window - will be back again. Starla, Les and Jackie are amazing and make our stay great. I hope to bring my kids and grandkids next year. Thank you for another AMAZING stay.

Stayed here as a kid and my own family has stayed here a week. Family reunion with 63 people and it was wonderful - accommodations were great and all of our families had a ball. Family came from Delaware, Denver, CO and Eastern SD. Hospitality was amazing! Thanks for everything.

Awesome place to stay. Owners are great people. Lots of amazing sites in the area. We hiked the Devil’s Bathtub trail and slide down the rock slide. Fished the creek - found a couple browns out back. Kid’s tubed the creek.

Loved the sound of the creek out of our window each night. So relaxing!! Cute cabin and hospitality is 5 star! Nice place to stay to stay during Kool Deadwood nights.

From the end of one vacation to the start of the next, I wish for the time at this place. Beauty surrounds you. And each stay something new is discovered in the canyon. This place pulls you back once you’ve discovered it. It’s quite a drive for us but once we arrive its always worth it. Love how down to earth everyone is. The power of natural beauty! Love it at Wickiup!
